Anyone and everyone can use facebook to market their brand. However, the real task is marketing what is unique about you and your brand. What do you have to offer that is different from the rest? We know that you are different, but it is about communicating that with your potential clients, so maybe use a few of these techniques to portray yourself in a different, and more interesting way!
- Captivating visual content -No one wants to read paragraph after paragraph about how your brand has something unique to offer (every company has something unique to offer). So instead of writing about it, show it. Use videos and photographs! (they say a picture is worth a thousand words)
- Know and understand your audience – [cater to them specifically]If you don’t know the audience you are trying to specifically target, you will waste time, energy, and money. By knowing what group you are specifically trying to target, you can personalize your campaign to them (i.e. 50 year old stay at home mothers are a very different target group than 14-18 year old boys)
- Check/update social media regularly – Social media such as a facebook page, a twitter, blog, or website is not a onetime investment. One has to constantly be investing time into updating one’s social media profiles and keeping customers intrigued in their brand. Don’t forget to bring novel and fresh ideas to the table on a regular basis.
- Don’t need to be everywhere and compete with everyone – Let’s face it; some brands are more popular and larger than others. Just because you have a smaller brand name, that doesn’t mean you have to do everything to compete with a brand like Apple. Yes large companies have the resources to spend much more money, energy, and man power on the smaller aspects of a company, but instead of trying to compete with that, accept it and do what is within your grasp.
